So Creighton’s playing in the CBI Tournament which means nothing else to me besides the fact that I get to keep watching them play basketball. Last night’s game was extra special because it was the first game of the championship series and it was against their old coach of 16 years Dana Altman. Altman left after last year and went to Nike University aka Oregon. Some of you my remember Altman from a few years ago when he took the Arkansas job only to leave it a day later after doing being forced to do the “Woo Pig Sooie” chant of Razorback fame.
Well the game did not disappoint. Over 12,000 people came out on a snowy Monday night (setting a CBI record). Altman got a standing ovation when he arrived and the Blue Jays won 84 - 76. The game was full of blocks, 3-pointers and just great play in general. Kellen even had a great time. No pull-up on and he did a great job of telling me when he needed to go.
