I understand how important it is to have the necessary support and resources to pursue higher education. Im proud to announce that our 2026 Higher Education Scholarship is now open. Awards for this scholarship will be split between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
To apply, students must be residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland, and attend an in-state institution, with a few exceptions for out-of-state institutions. To view all eligibility requirements, visit the MHEC website here.
The deadline to apply for this scholarship is May 15th, 2026.
Please note: This is a non-renewable scholarship. Students who received the scholarship last year will have to reapply to be considered for the scholarship for 2026-2027. Students who received funds last year are not guaranteed to receive funds this year.
